The MQ-7 carbon monoxide sensor is especially designed to be sensitive to carbon monoxide (CO) gas which is emitted by vehicles, factories, etc. Since this gas is considered toxic to humans at certain levels, concentration of CO is used to determine the air pollution in a given area.
Ro: sensor resistance at 100ppm CO in theL clean0 air. Rs: sensor resistance at various concentrations of sensitivity characteristics of the MQ-7 Standard circuit: As shown in Fig 2, standard measuring circuit of MQ-7 sensitive components consists of 2 parts. one is heating circuit having time control function (the
Feb 11, 2017· You wire that module right to your Arduino, all needed components are on the module. Here is a tutorial for that family of sensors, use the AOUT pin on the MQ-7 module. The trim cap is for adjusting DOUT. Accurate calibration is difficult at home, the datasheet tells you to allow the module to pre-heat "No Less Than 48 Hours".
Mar 29, 2014· I fabricated a sensor array with MQ-3 / MQ-4 / MQ-7 / MQ-8. So, when I test my system with Ethanol, the MQ-7 is really sensitive .. ! But on the MQ-7 datasheet, we can clearly see that, normaly, this sensor have a small sensitivity for Alcohol. Then, I wondered if you have an idea to figure out this problem. Thanks for your time, Charles Chatard
Apr 02, 2020· I had previously published a project with an MQ sensor and received a lot of critical feedback on it. Today I also expect your feedback, but only of a positive nature: with the MQ-7 carbon monoxide gas sensor and the matching PCB from Pololu, analog measurement using the ADC from the Arduino is no longer a problem.
This is MQ-7 Carbon Monoxide Sensor. It detects the concentrations of CO gas in the air and outputs it`s reading as an analog voltage. The sensor has a long life , high sensitivity and fast response time. The sensor output signal is an analog resistance. The sensor can measure a low concentration of carbon dioxide in the air.

The MQ - 7 carbon monoxide sensor with simple drive circuit is used to detect the presence of carbon monoxide ( CO ) gas in this project. Secured Luxuries Transporting System A MQ - 7 gas sensor is used in this system which is a device that detects the presence of the carbon monoxide ( CO ) and LPG and several of their gases in the environment.
1. MQ-7 CO sensor. Most commonly available with this Flying Fish sensor module, it has to run through a small modification, details in the next step, or you can use a separaten MQ-7sensor. 2. NPN bipolar transistor. Virtually any NPN transistor that can handle 300 mA or more will work here.
The MQ-7 Gas sensor is a Carbon Monoxide (CO) sensor, suitable for sensing Carbon Monoxide concentrations (PPM) in the air. The MQ-7 sensor can measure CO concentrations ranging from 20 to 2000ppm. This sensor has a high sensitivity and fast response time. The sensor's output is an analog resistance. The drive circuit is very simple , just a voltage divider; all you need to do is power the ...
This Carbon Monoxide (CO) gas sensor detects the concentrations of CO in the air and ouputs its reading as an analog voltage. The sensor can measure concentrations of 10 to 10,000 sensor can operate at temperatures from -10 to 50°C and consumes less than 150 mA at 5 V. Please read the MQ7 datasheet (185k pdf) for more information about ...

MQ-7 Semiconductor Sensor for Carbon Monoxide Sensitive material of MQ-7 gas sensor is SnO 2, which with lower conductivity in clean air. It make detection by method of cycle high and low temperature, and detect CO when low temperature (heated by ). The sensor’s conductivity is more higher along with the gas concentration rising.
The MQ-7 carbon monoxide sensor module allows for the sensing of CO concentrations in the air. This module can detect CO gas concentrations from anywhere between 20 and sensor is highly sensitive and has a quick response time. It uses analogue resistance as an output and is extremely easy to connect with the use of note: This module has an adjustable...
Feb 19, 2018· MQ-7 Carbon Monoxide Sensor After reading the data sheet a bit more I found out a huge amount of information about how the MQ-7 sensor works. It turns out that all of the MQ series sensors work the same way, they all use a small heater inside with an electro-chemical sensor.
